WOD 24 K Walk

Five members of a Manchester-based healthcare company literally put their back into marking World Osteoporosis Day on Tuesday, October 20th.

Wearing t-shirts printed with images of the spine, the team from Optasia Medical, the osteoporosis solutions company, walked 24 kilometres along the Monsall Trail between Buxton and Bakewell to help raise awareness of the disease which brings misery to millions of people every year.

Scholarship presentation on WOD

On the occasion of World Osteoporosis Day, October 20th, the Osteoporosis Association awarded three research grants. The association's patron, HRH Princess Benedict, helped to present the grants at a ceremony which took place at the University Hospital of Zealand, Køge.

To celebrate #WorldOsteoporosisDay on 20th October @KingsImaging Dr Amelia Moore organised a stand in Atrium 2 with leaflets and posters related to improving bone health from the Royal Osteoporosis Society

Social media campaign

IOF has carried out a social media campaign on Instagram in the three national languages of Switzerland (French, German and Italian) to drive use of the IOF Osteoporosis Risk Check.

The campaign, carried out in partnership with Sandoz Switzerland, was also supported by Risk Check leaflets distributed in selected Pharmacies.
