To mark World Osteoporosis Day, a comprehensive event will be organized to promote awareness, prevention, early detection, and optimal management of osteoporosis.
The program will include a medical education session for physicians, with a particular focus on osteoporosis in young individuals, including its risk factors, secondary causes, diagnostic approach, and management.
Informative and interactive workshops for patients will provide practical information on bone health, fracture prevention, lifestyle measures, and the importance of appropriate follow-up.
A dedicated “osteoporosis-friendly” Pilates workshop will introduce safe and adapted physical activities aimed at improving mobility, balance, muscle strength, and overall bone health.
The event will also feature an osteoporosis screening campaign targeting individuals at increased risk, with the aim of identifying people with low bone mass or other risk factors at an early stage and facilitating appropriate referral and management.
Through these complementary activities, the event aims to bring together healthcare professionals, patients, and the wider community around a common goal: raising awareness, preventing fractures, and promoting lifelong bone health.
