The Rheumatology department at the Faculty of Medicine, Suez Canal University is organizing an event in the occasion of the International Osteoporosis Day. The aim of the event is to raise the awareness of the community about the risk factors of osteoporosis and how to protect against fragility fractures.
The event is targeting the patients attending the Rheumatology clinic and the workers at the faculty of medicine, Suez Canal University. The event includes 2 parts, the first part is an health education seminar about the risk factors for osteoporosis and healthy habits to avoid fragility fractures. The second part is a free screening for osteoporosis for the attendee by peripheral DEXA scan.
