This high-profile event was organized by the Armenian Osteoporosis Association in collaboration with IOF and key osteoporosis societies from Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
The Summit, an all-day session on October 4th, was attended by the Parliament Medical Liaison A. Babloyan. Chairs include Professor John Bilezikian (USA), Professor Olga Lesnyak (Russia) and Dr Varta Babalyan (Armenia). Dr Philippe Halbout, IOF Executive President, spoke about World Osteoporosis Day. Society representatives presened their activities, including World Osteoporosis Day activities.  At a dinner following the Summit, the organizers are honoured to have the attendance of a member of parliament.
The development of country-specific FRAX and the utilization of FRAX is the key subject to be discussed in the afternoon session.
