The Iraqi League for Bone and Joint Health celebrated World Osteoporosis Day 2025 with a series of national scientific and community activities.
- A central scientific event was held on October 20, 2025, at the Ministry of Health Headquarters, under the patronage of H.E. the Minister of Health, marking the launch of the Iraqi FRAX tool for fracture risk assessment — a major national milestone in osteoporosis management.
This activity done with collaboration with Ibn Sina Training Hospital ,& suport by Kawkab Group bureau & Ihsan AlBari Organization for sustainable development
- The Iraqi Bone and Joint Health Association / Nineveh Branch held a scientific symposium in Mosul on October 23, 2025.The event highlighted osteoporosis prevention and awareness with broad participation from local specialists, this activity support by Neva company .
- On October 24, 2025, a community marathon (2 activities) took place in Baghdad the capital of Iraq and Erbil city, with over 280 participants of all ages promoting movement as the key to bone and life health. These 2 activities support by Al Ma3mura Company
- Additional awareness campaigns were conducted in several provinces, emphasizing prevention, early detection, and healthy lifestyle habits, these supported with AlMa3mura company .
These activities reflect the League’s strong commitment to advancing public awareness, scientific collaboration, and national initiatives for better bone health across Iraq.
